Why we recorded Acoustic Christmas

In 2013 we played a medley of some jazz numbers and a Beatles medley at a Church weekend away and enjoyed it very much. In 2014 we were going to play some instrumental versions of well known Carols before our Christmas Carol service while people were coming in and settling down but a few weeks beforehand Andy realised that he would not be available that day. So, not wanting to let anyone down, we quickly arranged to go into a local studio and record 6 carols that could be played through our P.A. system at the school we meet in for services and worship. We received a number of very encouraging comments afterwards (even though most folks just did not even realise this background music was playing).

Our Fellowship (Church folks) decided a few years ago that we would like to have our own building as currently we pay rent to the school and local community halls for all our activities and obviously this is very expensive – we decided that we would like to raise some funds towards this project by recording a C.D. which would be available to folks within the Fellowship. We subsequently felt that as we were both actively involved with other charities that they could also benefit from donations received for this new C.D. We made the decision that we will promote this to all our charitable contacts and that the profits raised from the sale of the C.D. will be distributed among all the charities who get involved.
